Power formally joined Cooney & Conway as an associate in 2011.  He has handled an extensive variety of catastrophic injury and death cases, including: toxic torts; mesothelioma; wrongful death; products liability; construction negligence; premises liability; motor vehicle negligence; legal malpractice; and insurance coverage disputes.  He actively litigates cases in Cook, DuPage, Will, McHenry, and Kane Counties, and elsewhere.

He has represented hundreds of clients and has secured millions of dollars in compensation over the course of his career.  A couple notable cases include a 9.2 million dollar settlement for a man who was blinded by chemicals while working at a plant, and a million dollar settlement for a man who was viciously attacked by a dog.  He is currently litigating a large volume of toxic tort cases involving victims who were diagnosed with cancer as a result of alleged exposure to the weed-killer, glyphosate.

Power was born and raised on the southside of Chicago.  He attended St. Rita High School and then Saint Xavier University, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy.  He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2011 from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.  He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the Federal Northern District of Illinois, and is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

Power attributes his success as an attorney to his upbringing in a blue-collar, working class neighborhood where he developed a strong work ethic, resilience, a deep sense of community, and respect for others.  This background has significantly shaped his practical, down-to-earth style and approach to litigation.
