Cooney & Conway Employees Support ‘Get Behind the Vest’ Campaign

On Friday afternoon, Cooney & Conway employees gathered in support of “Get Behind the Vest,” a campaign backed by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation that provides replacement bullet proof vests for Chicago Police Officers. The fundraising lunch was spearheaded by employee Brian Flisk, in honor of his father, Michael Flisk (pictured), a Chicago police officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty in 2010.

“The results from the fundraiser are truly moving and appreciated by not only myself but all members of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation,” said Brian, an ambassador for “Get Behind the Vest.”

Donations from employees and the firm will enable the purchase of four replacement vests for CPD Officers as they serve and protect the community every day.

“I am extremely fortunate and thankful to be surrounded by so many supportive people,” Brian said. “It is very satisfying to know that the donations by Cooney & Conway will make a difference for a few of Chicago’s finest.”
